A lot of people cannot wait to put 2016 behind them.
Brexit means Brexit; Trump for the Whitehouse; refugee crisis.
David Bowie died. Muhammed Ali, Victoria Wood, Prince, Terry Wogan, Ronnie Corbett, Leonard Cohen, Alan Rickman all followed. Why Professor Snape, why?!
The new top gear was rubbish, England bottled another major tournament, Brangelina divorced and the cherry on top of this disaster of a cake…the Bake-Off team split up!
It may be a year that many of us don’t want to remember, but it is also a 131st year that we at Kerry’s Fresh will never forget, as we set ourselves up for 131 more with the launch of this very website.
We have mastered the markets – and they still have their place in our business and hearts – but we must change with the trends. That is why Dean decided it was time to evolve, and so Kerry’s Fresh was born.
Aidan has spearheaded the launch of our website from the Kerry’s side and worked with the web design experts at Big Spring to create what is now, as 2016 draws to a close, a website we can be proud of.
This website has become Aidan’s baby and, much as a baby does, it has provided him and the rest of the website team with some satisfying highs, but it has also thrown tantrums and kept him up at night!
We set out to create a online store which offered a wide variety of produce from the best local suppliers while maintaining the Kerry’s ethos of great customer service and quality, affordable food.
We feel we are en route to achieving that, but the learning process either side of launch has been remarkable. There have been things we wish we could change and improve since going live on October 3rd, and we want to thank our customers for their patience and loyalty during our opening months.
But we are confident that we have ironed out the creases and are very excited about what 2017 could hold for the website, as we aim to increase the choices available to you and better the user experience so that shopping local can be as convenient as possible (You can keep tabs on this in our new blog!)
Our blog will keep you up to date on our latest products and newest partners as we look to expand our Farm Shop, and explain generally what has been going on at Kerry’s headquarters that same week.
It will also include recipes and videos with suggestions on how best to enjoy our seasonal produce, and information about all of our latest offers and competitions, for both home and business orders.
Until our next post, we wish all of our lovely customers a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. May 2017 be another unforgettable year for Kerry’s; one that we will all remember for the right reasons!
