With the weather hotting up over the Easter weekend and the next season of produce already starting to hit supermarket shelves, it’s time to start thinking about how to best use the fresh fruit and veg. Without a doubt, smoothies are the way to go – they are a great way to get your 5 a day whilst also enjoying the fresh flavours.
- Throw the orange, carrot, and ginger in a blender, and blend until smooth.
- Strain the juice into a large cup or jug to remove the bits and pulp. Use a spoon to help stir the pulp and press out the liquid.
- Place the juice in the fridge and allow to chill for at least 30 minutes (It should last for up to 3 days).
